Conservation Bridges is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of biodiversity. Our goal is to build bridges between research, education, and sustainable development to effectively mitigate and prevent the main threats to species and ecosystems.

Conservation Bridges is driven by the imperative need to forge more and better pathways for collaboration among organizations, communities, citizens, researchers, students, environmental authorities, and decision-makers towards shared objectives of conservation and sustainable development.

​We foster participation and contribute effectively to conservation progress by creating partnerships and agreements, conducting educational programs, courses, trainings, and projects, and supporting initiatives that align with our mission.

Our work is grounded on three fundamental pillars: research, education, and sustainable development. This approach enables us to address comprehensively the conservation needs of species and ecosystems while promoting knowledge exchange and construction, sustainable use of natural resources, and the well-being of communities and citizens.

Biologist with a PhD in Anthropology from Stony Brook University, New York. Associate Professor at the Universidad de los Andes. Director of the Tropical Forest Ecology and Primatology Laboratory (LEBTYP) of the Universidad de Los Andes, and of the La Macarena Ecological Research Center (CIEM).
